Reliable standards for sustainable biochar

At Carbon Cycle, quality comes first. Our premium biochars ÖKO FEED and ÖKO TERR undergo strict internal and external controls to ensure the highest standards in agriculture, animal husbandry and environmental protection.

Certified safety

• ÖKO FEED: Our feed charcoal is certified according to GMP+ FSA, EBC-Feed (batch: EBC-ba-de-29-2-2), QS-recognised and guaranteed GMO-free.
• ÖKO TERR: Our biochar for agricultural use is EBC-AgroBio-certified (batch: EBC-ba-de-29-2-2) and listed by FiBL and InfoXgen.

Traceable origin

The wood chips used come exclusively from sustainably managed forests (PEFC-certified) within a radius of no more than 80 km around our production plant. This regional sourcing ensures short transport routes and the highest raw material quality.

Comprehensive quality management

Our quality management ensures seamless monitoring and documentation – from the raw material to the end product. Regular laboratory analyses check parameters such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), dioxins, PCBs, heavy metals and the carbon content in the dry matter. Our products are free of additives and meet the requirements of the German Fertiliser Ordinance (DüMV) as well as the EU Fertiliser Regulation 2019/1009.
