Our production – Regional. Efficient. Climate-effective.
Modern technology for sustainable impact
Our biochar is produced in a state-of-the-art pyrolysis plant at the Rieden site in the Upper Palatinate, equipped with the latest technology. The process is energy-efficient, low-emission and optimised for the highest charcoal quality. The plant comes from our experienced technology partner CTS Schuster, one of the leading providers of pyrolysis technology in Europe.
The production process at a glance
- Raw material selection
We use only untreated wood chips from regional, sustainable forestry (FSC/PEFC-certified). - Pyrolysis
In a low-oxygen environment, the wood is converted into biochar at approx. 600–750 °C. This also produces usable process heat, which can be used e.g. for drying or local heating. - Cooling & packaging
The finished biochar is specifically processed, sieved and prepared for various areas of use – for example as a soil additive, feed additive or in barn bedding.
Sustainability at all levels
- CO₂ binding:
Per tonne of biochar, around 3.6 tonnes of CO₂ are stored in the soil in the long term. - Resource conservation:
Our raw material comes from residual wood and by-products of forestry – no competition with food production. - Circular economy:
Our products promote nutrient binding and improve the soil structure in the long term – fully in the spirit of regenerative farming.
Quality through experience and technology
Our production plant is regularly monitored, and the charcoal qualities are continuously tested in the laboratory. This is how we ensure that our products meet the strict requirements.
Why our biochar?
Our biochar convinces with highest purity, stable pore structure and excellent absorption capacity. Thanks to strictly controlled production and consistent quality assurance, we deliver a product that stands out clearly from mass-produced goods – in effect, safety and sustainability.
